Mary Sue Maurer
Mary Sue Maurer is a passionate advocate for social justice and a seasoned expert in Risk Communications. With a steadfast commitment to amplifying community voices and fostering public trust, she has dedicated her career to impactful service. Over a span of seventeen years, Maurer held the roles of Mayor and Councilmember in Calabasas, earning a solid reputation for her active listening skills and her dependable ability to deliver information and solutions.
Maurer's impact extends beyond the realm of politics. As a training instructor at the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), she was instrumental in developing Risk Communication modules. These trainings equipped senior executives, scientists, engineers, and other technical staff with the tools needed to involve stakeholders in the decision making process early and often as well as become effective, empathetic communicators in high-concern public settings.
At Maurer Strategies, Mary Sue brings her experience and vision to the fore. Through collaboration, she assists clients in designing and implementing strategies that enhance trust, build credibility, and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
